What we do
As AWHONN certified fetal monitoring instructors, we are available to teach intermediate and advanced fetal monitoring courses. Live on-site or host-site options are available for intermediate fetal monitoring courses. Virtual courses are available for advanced fetal monitoring courses. Courses can be used to support preparation for certification examination. There is a recommended renewal date every two years.

Meet Our Instructor
Carrie Barber, DNP, APRN, CNM, OB/GYN NP, C-EFM
Certified Nurse Midwife, Medical Legal Consultant, Educator, Speaker
Dr. Barber brings over 20 years of experience in perinatal care including over a 19 year career as a certified nurse midwife, OB/GYN nurse practitioner, with roles in academia, and hospital management positions. She owns a national consulting practice and serves as a national educator and speaker. Dr. Barber is actively involved in AWHONN and serves on the Board of Directors for Community Maternity Services. She maintains advanced certification in electronic fetal monitoring and serves as a certified AWHONN fetal monitoring instructor while maintaining active clinical practice as a certified nurse midwife.
